Launch of a new home for the fairies at Wells

- By SARA GAHAN

Little fairies gathered in Wells House and Gardens last weekend to welcome the arrival of a very special guest.

Fairy Queen Odette arrived to Wells where she was welcomed by lots of boys and girls. Odette officially opened the latest addition to the 17 th century manor - a new Fairy Castle, which will become a permanent fixture on the Fairy Woodland Walk.

The kids arrived in fancy dress and gave a warm welcome to Odette. They enjoyed an afternoon of bubbles and an interactive fairy hunt.

Marketing Manager Niamh Carolan said the weather was glorious and they were overwhelmed by the turn-out and support from the customers.

‘It is amazing to see everyone enjoy being outdoors and interacting with the magic of Wells,’ said Niamh.

Niamh said the fairy castle will be a great place for children to use their imaginations and make some stories.
