Cannabis worth €10 lands Gorey man in district court

DRUG possession accused Brendan Sweeney from 6 Pearse Street in Gorey is ‘not a user as such’, his solicitor told the District Court.

A search conducted under warrant at the house in Pearse Street uncovered €10 worth of cannabis resin.

Sweeney, who had no record of past drug convictions, agreed to pay €50 to Vincent de Paul by May 3 in exchange for receiving the benefit of the Probation Act.
