PARADE THANKS

The Coolgreany Parade Committee would like to thank everyone who turned out to help on the day, Thank you one and all. Also thanks to Gardiners for the loan of the stand, to Farm Services for the electricit­y and the use of the forecourt, to the Coolgreany Inn for the furniture for the viewing stand and to Pat McCarthy for the cones and barriers to keep everyone safe. Thank you everyone who supported us on the day. Finally, a quick thank you to our judges, John Doyle, Tommy Tutty and Con O’Driscoll, our Grand Marshall the lovely Molly McDonald and her grandson Dylan, who accompanie­d her.

The local community extend their sympathy to M/s Jenny O’Toole Long Lane on the death of her Brother-in-law Austin O’Toole Kildare Town (formerly Carnew) whose burial took place on last Friday in Kildare.

POSITIVE AGEING

Arklow Positive Ageing will hold a day trip to Viking Splash and St Patrick’s Cathedral on April 22. On May 19 there will be a trip to Kilkenny Castle and then Shopping, on May 31 they will travel to the Bloom Show on July 31 it off to the Air Field House and garden and shopping in Dundrum.

HANDBALL LOTTO

Coolgreany Handball lotto now stands at €4,500, lotto tickets are available in Jim Short’s, Coolgreany post office, O’Rafferty’s. and Liam Clare Snr. A new prize format is now in place, with seven lucky dips worth €30 each and one Sellers Prize. In the last draw there was one lucky-dip winner, Nicola Hughes Ballyfad, who received €30. Your support is very much appreciate­d by the club.
