COFFEE/CAKE SALE

Ballycanew NS will hold a coffee morning/cake sale on Friday, May 4, from 9 a.m. in the school. All money raised will go to deceasing our school debt. Your support would be greatly appreciate­d. Donations of cakes can be left into the school office on Thursday or on Friday morning. A raffle will also take place with some great prizes to be won. Members of the community are very welcome to come in for a cup of coffee and a nice cake.

SCHOOL NEWS

First Holy Communion will take place on Saturday, May 26, at 11 a.m. in St Moling’s church.

Enrolments are now being taking for new pupils for September 2018. Please call to the school office or call 053 9427496 for an enrolment pack. Please return enrolment forms by end of April.

Congratula­tions to the Saturday, April 21, winner of splitthe-pot, John Hemenstall; prize money was €228.

ST PATRICK’S GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot; winning numbers were 3, 16, 23 and 25; three match-three winners each receive €70: Ann Roche; Pat Mordaunt; Tess, Colin, Kyle, Rachel.

LITTLE DUCKLINGS

‘THOUSANDAI­RE’ EVENT

Tickets are now on sale for our ‘Who Wants To Be A Thousandai­re’ fundraiser, which takes place May 5 in the Ashtown Park Hotel. Tickets are €15 single or €50 for family. We will we out doing the rounds this week, calling to everyone, so we hope you can support us. Tickets can be gotten by contacting any member of the associatio­n.
