SYMPATHY

Ballygarrett golf society were saddened to hear of the passing of our former Captain and friend John Jordan.

On behalf of the members of Ballygarrett Golf Society we wish to extend our heartfelt prayers and sympathy to Johns wife Rose, his son Eugene, his extended family and his many friends at this sad time.

As you were all aware John was not well over the last number of years, he faced his illness with a courage and determination, that left us all in awe. He was determined to be independent, he kept his illness in check largely with a mental self discipline that we can all only admire. Yet up to the day he died, he was never bitter. It wasn’t in his character and he could always, always laugh at himself. Nobody had a quicker tongue, nobody had a quicker answer, he simply saw the funny side of life. We are very lucky that he shared this with us all. Rest easy John.
