COFFEE MORNING

The annual coffee morning in aid of the Alzheimer Society will be held on Friday, May 18, at 10 a.m., to raise much needed funds for Alzheimer services. It will be held in the May Byrne community house in Coolgreany. There will also be a cake sale and raffle. Please come along and enjoy a welcoming cuppa and chat with all your neighbours and friends. All money raised will go to the local Alzheimer Society.

POSITIVE AGEING TOUR

Arklow Positive Ageing Group will hold a day trip to Kilkenny Castle and then Shopping On May 19, again the bus will be leaving the Tesco car park at 9.30, and the cost is €20. On May 31 there will be a bus to the Bloom Show, leaving Tesco car park the cost is €25. More details later. Coolgreany Handball lotto now stands at €5,100, lotto tickets are available in Jim Short’s, Coolgreany post office, O’Rafferty’s. and Liam Clare Snr. A new prize format is now in place, with seven lucky dips worth €30 each and one Seller’s prize. In the last draw there was one lucky-dip winner: Kevin Gardiner, Coolgreany.
