Rathpierce/Ballyfad Community Group: Wishes to recruit a community worker. The community worker supports local groups in the maintenance of public areas and community buildings and assists in the development of new community projects. Hours are 19.5 per week. This is a DSP sponsored Community Employment
The Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) Programme is a joint venture by the GAA and the Health Service Executive that aims to reduce the harm being caused by tobacco, alcohol and other drugs. The ASAP Programme is aimed at preventing alcohol and other drug related problems from happening, educating members about relevant issues, and responding appropriately should a problem arise.
With that in mind the Healthy Club committee at Castletown Liam Mellows GAA Club have organised an information evening for coaches, parents and the wider community tonight, Tuesday, May 8, at 8 p.m. in the clubhouse Tomnahely. Speakers will include Andy Horgreaves from the HSE and two members from our local An Garda Síochána, Detectives Darren Coleman and Iain Hayes. This will be a very informative night and everyone welcome.
