COMMUNITY ALERT

The AGM of Ballyduff Community Alert will take place on Thursday, May 17, at 8.30 p.m. in Clonee GAA Complex. This is also renewal night for the Community Text Alert. The charge is €10 per phone for two years till 2020. This fee is payable on the night. For anyone interested in rejoining, come on the night where representatives will be on hand to process this for you. This initiative has proved very successful in our community since it was started in 2013. Crime and suspicious activity in our area has greatly reduced since its introduction. Come out, pay your fee and show your support for this worthwhile and necessary community initiative.

There has been an increase in suspicious activity in our area recently. We are thankful for everybody that texts or rings the Community Alert Phone to report any suspicious activity. This enables us to report this to the gardaí and send out an alert to the community to make them aware of what is happening.

For this initiative to operate as efficiently as possible the number to ring to report any activity is the Ballyduff Community Alert phone. This number was circulated to everybody who signed up for the scheme. Do not text back to the alert message that is sent out as this will not go back to the Alert Phone. If you need this number please contact any member of the committee. Enniscorthy Garda Station can be contacted 24 hours a day at 053 9242580. Stay safe and Be Alert.

DEVELOPMENT GROUP
