New format for fun and games
Split into two days proves popular with schoolchildren
THE ANNUAL Rackard League primary schools athletics days took place at the Enniscorthy Hub recently.
It was the first time that the event was held over two days, featuring Wexford South (Wexford and New Ross), and Wexford North (Enniscorthy and Gorey).
Approximately 50 schools were involved on both days. The general consensus was that the two-day format was more popular than the previous one.
The Rackard League (Cumann na mBunscol) is very grateful to Enniscorthy Rugby Club and the Enniscorthy Showgrounds committees for the use of their grounds for parking.
The committee is also very appreciative to the teachers and other adults who helped in the running of the event on both days.
The standard of running and jumping was extremely high, with many athletes producing outstanding performances on both days.
