When Bros, comprising brothers Matt and Luke Goss, and their schoolfriend Craig Logan, released ‘I Owe You Nothing’ as their debut single in 1987, it peaked at No. 88 in the UK singles chart. The following year, after Bros had scored a No. 2 hit in the UK charts with ‘When Will I Be Famous’, a re-released (and remixed) ‘I Owe You Nothing’ hit the No. 1 spot in Britain. It reached No. 2 hit in Ireland and made the top ten in a number of other countries. ‘I Owe You Nothing’ remains the group’s only UK number one.
