Gorey Musical Society AGM is a calamity!

GROUP PICKS POPULAR SHOW ‘CALAMITY JANE’ AS THEIR NEXT PRODUCTION

THE committee of the Gorey Musical Society announced ‘Calamity Jane’ as their production for next year at their annual AGM held in the Loch Garman Arms on Wednesday night.

There was a large crowd in attendance at the meeting and a particular warm welcome was given to the new members who joined the committee.

Chairperson Carmel Byrne reported they had a very successful year and thanked sponsors and patrons for their continued support.

The election of officers then took place, with no major changes or resignations. The committee is looking forward an exciting year ahead. The production team for 2019 has yet to be announced..

The officers are as follows: Chairperson – Carmel Byrne; Vice-Chairperson – Concepta Molloy; Treasurer – Eilish Teale; Vice-Treasurer – Bernie Howell and Ann Tim; Secretary – Romayne Farrell; PRO – Cathy Quirke; President – Theresa Donegan; Vice-President – Mary Doran; Committee members – Sinead McDonald, Jaz Stynes, Thelma Rath, Sandra Armstrong, Genevieve Molloy, Mary Spellman, Kate Sarsfield, Lauren Tracey, Georgina White, Billy Dockrell Murray, Sandra Whitty and Angel Macken.
