UNDERAGE SOCCER

Following the AGM of Caim Unitedd a new underage committee has been formed: Raymond Barnes chairman. Clare Browne secretary 087 2807736. John Horgan Treasure. All managers are committee members.

The managers for next season are: under-13 and under-12 Joe Kavanagh 086 102185 Raymond Barnes 087 9490979. Under-11, under-10 and under-9 Bert Oakes 087 629020, John Joe Doyle 087 2759273 and John Horgan 087 2510557.

Membership is open and can be given to any committee member and is the same as last year €25 per player and €50 for a family.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Bernie Lawless Greenanne, whose Funeral took place in Caim last Friday.

Duffry Lot to match three winner in the last draw was Molly Fenlon. The numbers drawn were 9, 18, 28 and 29. The jackpot is now €2,600. The next draw will be in Rackards on Tuesday, July 3.

VINTAGE CLUB

Vintage club outing will be to Moynalty this year. Names are now being taken for the outing on August 12.

CAIM SCHOOL

Caim School closed on Friday for the summer Holidays. Have a great summer.

SUMMER CAMP

A fun filled summer camp is taking place in Caim hall from August 13 to August 17. Includes singing, dancing, art, baking, sports and much more. Camp is open to 5-13 year olds. If interested please contact Ashley at 085 1480355. the age 35.

Susan is sadly missed by her loving daughters, Grace and Rebecca, her parents Joe and Alicia, fiancé Thomas, brother Liam, sisters Alicia Jo and Margaret, sister-in-law Deirdre, nephews Ryan and Luke, niece Ava, aunts, uncles, cousins, family, friends and neighbours.

Funeral Mass took place on Tuesday in St Brigid’s Church, Clonegal, followed by burial afterwards in the new cemetery. May she rest in peace.

GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of the Kildavin-Clonegal GAA. Lotto jackpot of €10,000, held on Sunday, June 24. Numbers drawn were 04, 19, 21 and 23. Winners that matched three were Tom and Seán Doyle Jnr, Bagenalsto­wn, Thomas Joyce, Bagenalsto­wn and Eamonn Coogan, Myshall, receiving €50 each. The seller’s prize goes to Mark Coleman, receiving €50. The next draw will take place in Dunne’s Lounge, Clonegal on Sunday, July 8, with a jackpot worth €10,000 and Reserve jackpot of €4,600. PRIDE OF PLACE

Plans are ongoing for the IPB National Pride of Place. The Judging Day is Thursday, July 26, which will be a day of celebratio­n for the village of Clonegal. HUNTINGTON CASTLE

The castle and tearooms will be open every day over the summer. Come along and enjoy a fascinatin­g guided tour of the castle or simply enjoy the Gardens and tearooms. There is always something new to see.

The castle has undertaken a lot of new projects in the last three years including: Restoratio­n of the Greenhouse, restoratio­n of stew ponds and lake, planting of over 10,000 snowdrops, woodland management to maximise bluebells and establishi­ng a new rose garden.

The gardens are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets cost €5 per adult and €2.50 per child (this includes entry to the adventure playground).
