DJ Mark McCabe has been added to the trio of headline acts alongside Jake Carter and Hothouse Flowers at the Gorey Market House Festival which takes place over the August bank holiday weekend.

Music producer and radio DJ Mark McCabe, who is best known for his hit ‘Maniac 2000’, will headline the Main Street stage on Friday, August 3, as part of the Beat FM Beat on the Street. Also on Friday’s line up are young local band Tuesday at Six, Sean and Conor Price, Chris Ward, and Wild Youth.

‘Gorey Market House Festival offers free, fun entertainment for all the family,’ said festival chairman Cllr John Hegarty. ‘We have a very strong line up of music acts this year for the festival, which we expect will appeal to a wide range of ages and tastes. As the Market House is a family festival we ask that parents or guardians have a presence at the event if older teenagers are planning on going along.’

Saturday evening’s entertainment kicks off with the ever-popular Fusion, and they will be followed by young, talented Jake Carter who is making inroads in the Irish music scene.

The music on Sunday begins earlier in the day, with a strong local element among the acts on stage.

The line up includes Tommy Carroll, Sam Ali, The Remedy Club, Dave Clark, Johnny the Fox, and bringing the weekend to a close are the legendary Hothouse Flowers.
