Ladies of Riverchapel show off their art talent

-

There was a hive of activity at the Riverchapel Community Complex last week for the Ladies of Riverchapel and Courtown group end-of-year exhibition.

The 50 group members displayed their work they have been working on since December. It included everything from knitting, painting, sewing, clay and drawing.

Chairperson of Ladies of Riverchapel and Courtown Monica Fallon said she would like to thank the committee members, the ladies, and local councillor Robbie Ireton for the support throughout the year.

The group meet up every Monday evening, except bank holidays, at 7 p.m., in the Community Centre. They are finished for the summer, but will be back on September 10.

Monica said new members are most welcome to join in September. The group provides amenities for any age lady. They take part in activities and go on trips out.

She added she would like to thank those who provided the group with grants to help fund their activities and trips.
