Five-star Gorey Rangers stroll to impressive win

Division 3

Gorey Rangers continue to impress in Division 3, and on Sunday they were much too good for Wexford Celtic, running out comprehens­ive 5-0 winners.

Dylan Vickers helped himself to a double, while Stephen Hempenstal­l, Conor McDonald and an own goal completed their tally.

Shamrock Rovers had to settle for a point as they were held to a scoreless draw by fellow high-flyers St. Joseph’s, while a Kyle Mann goal earned Wexford Albion a win over Enniscorth­y Town.

Jamie Wallace bagged a hat-trick, while Keith Donnelly added a double as Duncannon saw off Rathnure 5-3, with Anthony Westnott (two) and Nicky Quigley replying.

Pádraig Whitty hit the back of the net twice for Raheen, but they were edged out 3-2 by Bree United, with Philip Walsh, Mark Butler and Jack Michaels scoring for the winners.

Division 3A

Wexford Bohs were in seventh heaven on Sunday as they ran out 7-0 winners over Fethard Rangers.

Michael O’Rourke grabbed a hat-trick, Aaron Lambert added a double, while Graham Healy and Luke O’Neill scored a goal apiece.

Shane Campbell and John Breen got the goals for Ballymurn Celtic in their 2-0 win over Corach Ramblers, while All Blacks edged out Bridge Rovers 2-1 in Castlebrid­ge.

Rosslare Strand earned the local bragging rights when overcoming Rosslare Rangers 3-1, with Dillon Parle, Danny O’Reilly and Conor Clancy scoring for the winners and Lee Pettit replying. Division 4

Rosbercon United have started the campaign in pleasing fashion and on Sunday they ran out 6-1 winners over The Ballagh, with Jamie St. Ledger bagging a double and Kevin Doyle, Philly O’Connor, Paul Manning and Barry Ryan scoring a goal apiece.

Kiltealy Celtic certainly had their shooting boots on as they chalked up a 9-0 win over Curracloe United.

Paddy Somers grabbed a hat-trick, Mick Stephens scored a double, while Barry Redmond, Ben Nugent, Colin Beasley and David Jordan also got in on the act.

Fergal Buckley netted a hat-trick, while Denver Kinsella scored a brace, as Carne FC ran out 5-1 winners over Crossabeg, with Philip Power responding for the visitors.

Dickie Redmond scored for Ferns United, with Bobby O’Sullivan netting for Gorey Celtic, as they drew 1-1, while Peter McSweeney and Keith Crosbie scored for Camolin in their 2-2 draw with Campile United.

Division 4A

St. Joseph’s made it three wins from three as they edged out Castledock­rell 3-2 on Sunday, with goals from Pa O’Brien and Dillon Kearns (two).

Paudie Lacey was the match-winner for Caim United as he netted a hat-trick in their 3-1 win over Enniscorth­y Town, with Mark O’Neill scoring for Town.

Daniel Furlong (two), Shane Power and Mossy Whelan scored for Taghmon United in their 4-2 win over Tombrack, with William Dunne and David Power replying.

Jamiwe Cooney grabbed the only goal of the game as St. Leonards edged out Enniscorth­y United, while Rosslare Port saw off Killenagh Wanderers by the odd goal in seven.

David Marion, David Doran and Bill Dunne got on the scoresheet for Wanderers, but Port prevailied thanks to goals from Liam Delaney (two), Alan Walsh and Kieran Kehoe.

Division 5

Wexford Bohs continued their excellent start to the campaign with a 4-0 win over Bunclody on Sunday.

Beau Brennan bagged a double for the Wexford town side, while Mark Doyle and Jay Leniston got a goal apiece.

St. Cormac’s also made it three wins from three as they overwhelme­d All Blacks 13-1. Eoin Murphy helped himself to a treble, Jamie Doyle, Nathan Dickson and Liam Walsh added doubles, while Ciarán Rochford, Tom Fitzgerald, Barry Murphy and Jack White grabbed a goal apiece.

New Ross Town also went on a scoring spree as they saw off Cushinstow­n 11-2.

Anthony Feeney scored four for the winners, Dawidd Ruszczycki and Willie Banville bagged doubles, with Craig Wickham, Dean Connolly and Josh Carroll-Fernandez also getting in on the act, while Michael Dunne netted both goals for Cushinstow­n.

James Sheridan (two) and Gary Miller got the goals for Enniscorth­y United in their 3-0 win over Wexford Celtic.
