Natural homemade cosmetics business opens in Gorey
A new business providing natural homemade cosmetics has opened on Esmonde Street in Gorey.
The shop called ‘Organique’ is the very first of its kind to open in Ireland, with 60 already trading world wide.
Anna Baprawska, a former spa supervisor, opened the shop in Gorey with the aim of offering customers the opportunity to buy organic, natural cosmetic products locally.
‘We have over 200 different products in the shop,’ said Anna. ‘We have everything from body care, hair care, to face care. We have candles, soaps, bath bombs and much more.’
Anna, who is also a therapist, will open treatment rooms in three weeks time using all Organique products.
‘We will do face and body treatments for hydration to anti ageing,’ said Anna, who also has a Natural Shop in Rathdrum, County Wicklow. ‘The Natural Shop was the main business that distributed the Organique brand before I set up this shop.’
The Organique brand, produced in Poland, is celebrating 18 years in business, and Anna is celebrating two years of trading in her Natural Shop business.
‘Most of the products are handmade such as the Shea butter and bath bombs,’ added Anna.
Since opening the first Organique shop in Ireland, Anna has set her sights on trying to expand the business across the country.
‘Hopefully I might open another shop this time next year,’ she said. The shop is open Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. currently with a plan to extend the opening hours before Christmas.
