Wexford Chamber to hold business summit in County Hall
WEXFORD Chamber in association with Wexford County Council will be hosting a Business Summit in County Hall on Wednesday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is being sponsored by Zurich in association with the Sunday Business Post, Local Enterprise Office Wexford, the EPA and South East BIC (Business Innovation Centre).
The WexBizSummit will take on an interactive approach this year and the organisers say it will focus on helping people directly expand their business opportunities while also improving bottom line performance.
There will be a number of guest speakers on the day and among the businesses and organisations that will have representatives speaking at the summit will be Paddy Power, Google Garage and Flahavan’s.
The latter company will be represented by its Managing Director, John Flahavan, who will outline how businesses can set out and achieve measurable and sustainable quality targets.
It’s expected there will be in excess of 1,000 guests at the event which will also include 70 exhibition stands from across a broad range of business sectors.
An aspect of the event that could prove very beneficial to local enterprises will be the meet-the-buyer initiative which will give people the opportunity to pitch their business offering to representatives of large multinational organisations which could potentially result in new contracts.
There will also be an Angel’s Den which will give business owners and entrepreneurs visiting the summit the opportunity to pitch their business idea to a ‘Business Angel’ in the hope of securing cash investment. The best pitch on the day will also win a €500 cash prize.
Admission to the summit will be free-of-charge and local business people and people who may have an idea for a new business venture are encouraged to attend.
