GAA LOTTO

COMMUNITY GAMES

Slaney Valley Community Games, end of year presentati­on night and disco will be held on Friday, September 28, in Spellman Hall, Kildavin. Presentati­ons will start at 7 p.m. and disco will follow from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. All children who participat­ed in any Community Games activities during the year are invited to attend.

The Slaney Valley Community Games AGM will be held on Tuesday, October 16, at 8 p.m. in St Brigid’s Hall, Clonegal. It would be great if as many parents as possible could attend. A raffle will be held on the night.

CLONEGAL NS NEWS

This year’s Tullow Show took place on August 21 which 18 pupils from Clonegal National School were selected to receive awards. The school also won the trophy for Best Large School. The prize giving ceremony takes place on Tuesday, September 25, in Tullow Community School at 7 p.m. Well done to the following winners: Darcy Gray, Ben Tracey, Chloe Roberts, Johnnie Sheppard, Reese Coleman, Darragh Roberts, Ben Priestley, Gavin O’Halloran, Sam Ronan, Eoin Sweeney, Alex Butler, Ciara O’Brien, Elijah Jordan Reid, Eve Elliott, James Kilduff, David Kilduff, Conor Kavanagh and Rhys Power Nolan.

To celebrate and acknowledg­e the efforts and work undertaken by the our community in preparatio­n of the Pride of Place Competitio­n 2018, a Recognitio­n Night will take place on Wednesday, September 26, at 7.30 p.m. in Carlow Town Hall Chamber, Centaur Street, Carlow.
