IRISH DANCING

Irish Dancing continues in Marshalsto­wn Community Centre on Tuesdays at 6 p.m.

We are delighted to welcome everyone back to school after the summer holidays. We look forward to a busy year ahead. On Wednesday, September 12, we had our annual WOW. (Walk on Wednesday) launch day where all pupils, parents and staff walked together to school and then shared a nice, healthy breakfast.

Our GAA training has recommence­d for all classes with Rackard League matches beginning this week. Swimming is also under way at the moment every Thursday for children in First Class to Sixth Class in the Waterfront swimming pool, Enniscorth­y. Our beginning of school year Mass was on Tuesday, September 11, and all children were involved in the readings, prayers, artwork, gifts, music and singing. We thank everyone who contribute­d to our clothing collection in conjunctio­n with the NCBI last week. We will host another collection in January. RUN/WALK

A 5km run/walk will be held in Castledock­rell village on Saturday, September 29, in memory of Dawn Nolan to support Babies Born Sleeping for the Maternity Unit, Wexford General Hospital. Registrati­on is at 10 a.m. Start at 11 a.m. Entry is €10. Kids free. Please support.

BINGO

Bingo continues every Thursday evening in Marshalsto­wn Community Centre starting at 8.30 p.m. with two big jackpots to play for.

If possible can items be forwarded to me in good time so if it’s not included one week it will appear the next in time for the event as there is no guarantee that any item will be included any week. The deadline for receiving notes is 6 p.m. on a Thursday. Only not for profit items can be included. Thank you for your co-operation.

STORYTELLI­NG

Next session of storytelli­ng in Castledock­rell Hall is on Thursday, October 18, at 8 p.m. Always an enjoyable, entertaini­ng evening. Do come along. Refreshmen­ts served. Raffle held.
