Minister D’Arcy turns the sod on new housing development
The sod for an exciting new housing development on the Carnew Road was turned on Friday afternoon, paving the way for works to begin on phase one.
Minister Michael D’Arcy did the honours for Stephen Mahon of Trinity Homes and Victor Lambert of Lambert McCormack Property, who are developing a 58 unit housing estate called ‘Spring View’.
A small group of people attended the ‘sod turning’, included Eilish Hanley of Bank of Ireland and Bed Reed, the project manager of the development.
Mr Lambert said they have cleared the site and are currently breaking ground. They hope to have the first phase complete by the end of February.
‘After a month or two we will hopefully launch phase two,’ added Mr Lambert.
Last month, Mr Mahon and Mr Lambert launched the development in The Hatch Lab. The first 10 houses were launched in phase one and Trinity Homes aims to complete it in early 2019.
The 58 houses, which all have an A2 energy rating, will be completed in a total of three phases. They are located adjacent to Gorey town, close by to primary and secondary schools in Creagh and only a short walk from the main street and shopping centre.
Victor said the homes are designed for family living and are exceptional homes with more spacious accommodation with bespoke interiors, meticulously built from start to finish. These three and four-bed semi detached and detached homes start from €285,000.
