A total of 13 girls are gearing up for the fourth St Aidan’s Rose competition, which will be held in November in The Amber Springs Hotel.

The event was officially launched on Thursday evening in St Aidan’s Day Care Centre, Millands, by Frank Norris, the main organiser, and Denis Howell, who will act as MC at the grand final night on Saturday, November 17.

The Rose competition is a major fundraiser for the Care Centre, who will put the proceeds towards the day-to-day running of the facility.

Leading up to the grand final, the roses will host numerous fundraising events from coffee days to bake sales.

The St Aidan’s Rose will be determined by three judges and a public vote. Frank said they will meet three judges closer to the final date and a text vote will open in October for the public to use.

During the final night in The Amber Springs, the 13 girls will do an interview with Mr Howell and also display a talent if they wish to do so. Tickets will be available in October.
