MEMORIAL CLAY SHOOT

On September 23 a memorial clay shoot took place on Byrne’s land in Banntown in aid of St Luke’s and Beaumont Hospital and in memory of our dear friend Brian Dunbar.

Brian had organised a lot of the work prior to his untimely passing. With the support of his family and frineds and the community on Sunday all the hard work paid off as in bright sunshine over 170 participants took part, with plenty of prizes donated for the shoot and the raffle from local businesses, family and friends. It was indeed a joyous occasion tinged with sadness but with immense pride in what had been achieved. Everyone enjoyed the banter and refreshments supplied.

A huge thank you to Brian’s family, relatives, friends, neighbours and the wider community, who supported the wishes of Brian and, who have so far raised over €6,800 for these two deserving causes.
