LADIES’ CLUB

The ladies’ club meet on the second Wednesday of every month. The next meeting is October 10 Meeting in Clonee GAA Complex from 8 p.m. Each month they try new things, listen to someone speaking about items of interest or giving demos, try an activity, make something new, go on outings or just come along for refreshments and a chat. New members are most welcome.

DEVELOPMENT GROUP

We are delighted to have achieved five extra points in this year’s Tidy Towns Competition with the added bonus of being the runner-up for the second year in a row in the Can-It Award for ‘The Village’ Artwork made out of Aluminium cans and upcycled pallets which can be found in the school wildflower meadow.

The group continue to meet every Monday evening in the village to tidy the area and to work on new projects.

Last week our members had a nasty surprise when they emptied the batteries out of the Tin Man, among the batteries they found 121 disposable shavers. Please do not dispose of hazardous waste in the Tin Man as people may be injured trying to remove them. Our Tin Man is for used batteries only. All help and support is appreciated and we’re always delighted to see new faces.

Follow Ballyduff Development Group Facebook page for info on what’s happening or if you want to share ideas.
