High fives as Gorey Rangers continue their winning streak

Leaders Gorey Rangers made it five wins from five in Division 3 as they overcame Wexford Albion 3-1 on Sunday.

Dylan Vickers bagged a double for the north county men, withKevinK­avanaghgra­bbing their other goal and Cian Rossiter replying for Albion.

Second-placed Shamrock Rovers earned the local bragging rights when overcoming Enniscorth­y Town 5-2 with goals from Jack Carroll (two), Seán Wildes, Robert Moorehouse and Elliot Jordan.

Callum O’Reilly, Conor O’Leary, Cormac Byrne and Des Mythen got the goals for St. Joseph’s in their 4-1 win over Duncannon, with Adam Foley grabbing a goal for the seasiders.

Rathnure got off the mark for the season with a 2-1 win in Bree, with Anthony Westnott and Nicky Quigley scoring for the winners and Philip Walsh replying.

Bunclody and Raheen shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw, with Chris Kelly scoring both goals for the former and Peter Finn bagging a brace for Raheen.

Table-toppers Ballymurn Celtic had to settle for a share of the spoils on Sunday when they were held to a 3-3 draw in a hard-fought derby game against Oylegate United.

Luke Leacy (two) and John Breen scored for the pacesetter­s, while Oylegate replied with a 25-yard Lee Kehoe free-kick and close-range strikes from Anthony Doyle and Richard Murphy.

Aaron Lambert (two), Alan Flood, Stuart Hayden and Robbie O’Connor got the goals for Wexford Bohs as they hit Rosslare Rangers for five without reply.

Ajax Athletic won by the same scoreline, with Fenwick O’Shea, ‘Beefy’ Farnan, Liam Murphy, Darren Morrissey and Rob Clifford getting their goals.

Anthony Hayes and Keith Murphy both bagged doubles for Forth Celtic in their 4-0 win over Fethard Rangers.

Danny O’Reilly (two), John Winters and Mark Buckley got the goals for Rosslare Strand in their 4-2 win over Corach Ramblers in Danescastl­e, with Mark Hayes and Jack Donohue scoring for the hosts.

Rosbercon United ended Courtown’s winning start to their Division 4 campaign when they earned a 3-2 win over Hibs on Sunday.

Mick Kelleher netted a brace for the winners, while Philly O’Connor got their other goal.

Edmunds Prudskojs and Greg O’Rourke both scored doubles for Gorey Celtic in their 4-1 win over Kiltealy, while goals from Davie Fenlon and Conor Kelly made it three wins in a row for Crossabeg as they saw off Ferns United 2-1. Nathan Brelin hit the back of the net for Ferns.

Glen Carton scored all four goals for Camolin Celtic in their 4-2 win over Carne FC, with Leigh Aylward getting both goals for Carne.

Leaders St. Joseph’s proved too good for Tombrack on Sunday, running out 4-0 winners with goals from Pa O’Brien, Dillon Kearns, Darragh Corrigan and Brendan McCreary.

Second-placed Cloughbawn also picked up three points, with Adam O’Connor scoring both their goals in a 2-1 win over Castledock­rell.

Seamie Kehoe and Thomas Cosgrave got the goals for St. Leonards in their 2-0 win over Caim United, while Killenagh Wanderers earned a 2-1 away win over Enniscorth­y United.

Taghmon United travelled to Enniscorth­y Town and came away with a 4-2 victory thanks to goals from Shane Power (two), Jason McLoughlin and Dylan Murphy.

St. Cormac’s and Ferns United played out a 3-3 draw in Division 5 on Sunday, with Niall Finn netting a double for the saints and an own goal adding to their tally. Alfredo Barbu, James Lower and Wojciech Waligora replied for Ferns.

There was derby delight for Enniscorth­y United as they chalkedup2-1winoverSh­amrock Rovers.

CraigFoley­andJamesSh­eridan (penalty) scored for the winners, with Ger Foley replying from the spot for Rovers.

John Connors and Dion Dunne hit the back of the net for Bunclody in their 2-0 win over Cushinstow­n, while a Jack Hanley goal was enough for Ajax Athletic to take the points against All Blacks.
