MASS OF REMEMBRANCE
This year our Mass of remembrance will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3, at 8 p.m. in St Patrick’s Church, Castletown. We will especially remember those who have passed away in the past year from our community, those who have been laid to rest in our local graveyard and those who have passed away with links to our community.
We warmly welcome those, from our community and beyond, whowishtojoinustoremember their relatives and friends who have passed away in recent or not so recent times. It is always a beautiful gathering in our community and we ask that you please spread the word for us.
This year, as our local parish hall is being put to good use by our local school, we will be inviting anyone who wants to join us for a cuppa, to come along after Mass to the function room in the Golden Anchor, as Jack and Eilis have very kindly offered us the use of their facilities. Once again, we ask for donations of cakes and bakes and volunteers to help us on the night.
PASTORAL COUNCIL
We are looking for volunteers for our Parish Pastoral Council. The PPC and all volunteers in varying roles, helps the priests of the parish to keep us functioning as a small rural parish, ensuring that we can continue to have our celebrations in our local parish church. We meet approximately once per month, for an hour or two and we welcome people from all ages and areas. If you are in a position to join us, please let one of the PPC know or contact Anne Dixon at 087 9009940.
GAA HEALTHY CLUBS

Chair Yoga with a qualified instructor Sarah Dunlea. Very gentle chair yoga great for anyone who wishes to strengthen their joints and improve overall health. This session takes place in the lounge in the Anchor Bar Castletown each Monday at 10.45 a.m. Mixed group. €5 per session.
