Rangers make it a perfect ten to tighten grip

Gorey Rangers are showing no signs of loosening their grip at the summit of Division 3, and on Sunday they made it a perfect ten wins from ten as they overcame Rathnure 3-0.

Gary Murphy and Dylan Vickers (two) got the goals for the north county men as they continued their winning run.

Seán Wildes bagged a double for Shamrock Rovers to help them to a 3-2 win in Bunclody. An own goal added to their tally, while Severin Gadzina and Johnny Melay replied for the hosts.

St. Joseph’s and Raheen shared the spoils after a 3-3 draw, with Cormac Byrne (two) and Anthony Donohoe hitting the back of the net for Joey’s.

Daire Bolger bagged a brace for Raheen, with Dylan Whitty grabbing their other goal.

Wexford Celtic netted a magnificen­t seven against Bree United, with Richie Browne and Dylan Redmond both scoring doubles and Luke Codd, Johnny McManus and Ryan Furlong adding a goal apiece in their 7-2 victory.

Dillon Parle struck late in the first-half to earn Rosslare Strand a precious victory as they continued their impressive start to the campaign with a 1-0 win over Oylegate United.

Forth Celtic are also flying high and on Sunday they added another three points to their tally as they edged out Rosslare Rangers 4-3 thanks to an Anthony Hayes hat-trick and a Luke White strike. Michael Honey, Danny Ennis and Sam Audsley got the goals for Rangers.

Ballymurn will also be hoping to be in the shake-up for promotion and they eased to victory over Bridge Rovers, with goals from Shane Campbell (two), Shane Whelan and Shane O’Rourke earning them a 4-0 win.

Wexford Bohs hit Corach Ramblers for six, with Luke O’Neill and Aaron Lambert both netting doubles and Robbie O’Connor and Michael O’Rourke also hitting the back of the net in their 6-1 victory. James Crosbie replied for Ramblers.

Chris Colfer, Ricky Rowe and Jean-Luc Tubritt got on the scoresheet for Fethard Rangers as they earned their first points of the campaign when beating All Blacks 3-1, with Adam Devereux replying.

Rosbercon United moved to within a point of leaders Carne FC after overcoming their rivals 1-0 on Sunday.

A Jamie St. Ledger goal was the difference between the sides, with the win leaving Rosbercon in a strong position as they have three games in hand on the table-toppers.

Gorey Celtic look like they will also be in the title race as they continued their unbeaten start with a resounding 7-0 win over Curracloe United.

Greg O’Rourke chipped in with four goals, while Jake Cassidy, Seán Lavery and Danny Dixon all hit the back of the net for the north county men.

Ferns United earned the local bragging rights as they saw off Camolin Celtic 3-0 with goals from Gary Breslin (two) and Conor Jordan.

Conor Berney, Lorcan Rossiter and Darragh Kenny got the goals for Courtown Hibs as they won 3-0 in Campile.

Elsewhere, a Jamie Crean goal had Crossabeg 1-0 ahead at half-time away to Kiltealy Celtic, but the hosts came good after the interval, with Mick Stephens, Patrick Somers and Stevie Watchorn scoring to earn them a 3-1 win.

St. Joseph’s hold a two-point advantage at the top of Division 4A after winning 4-2 away to Rosslare Port on Sunday. Brendan McCreary (two), Mikey Keane and Billy Dunne scored for the Kilmuckrid­ge outfit.

St. Leonards are breathing down their necks after wwwthey also registered a 4-2 win, with Killenagh Wanderers on the receiving end. Matty Flynn, Ken Cahill and Tommy Byrne (two) scored for the saints.

Cloughbawn had to settle for a share of the spoils with Taghmon, with Patrick Lambert getting their goal and Ger Power replying in a 1-1 draw.

Caim United won 4-2 away to Castledock­rell with goals from Bob Spillane, Michael Kearns and Paudie Lacey (two), while Enniscorth­y United saw off Tombrack 4-1 with goals from Tommy O’Rourke (penalty), Adam Casey, Billy Millar and Liam Egan.

Josh McMullen had opened the scoring for Tombrack.

Ray O’Brien was the match-winner for St. Cormac’s as his double earned them a 2-1 win over Enniscorth­y United, with Oumair Rauf replying.

Ger Foley got the only goal of the game as Shamrock Rovers edged out local rivals Ajax Athletic, while Anthony Feeney (penalty) and Paul Purcell scored for New Ross Town in their 2-1 win over Ferns United.

Mark Sinnott netted a hattrick for All Blacks in their 5-2 win over Cushinstow­n, with Seán Kehoe and Andrew Geraghty getting their other goals as they chalked up a comfortabl­e victory.
