VARIETY NIGHT

Kilmuckrid­ge Drama Group are hosting their Variety Night in the Upton Court Hotel on Saturday, February 9, show starts at 8 p.m. and will feature a variety of songs and sketches.

BRIDGE

Come play bridge in Seán Óg’s Kilmuckrid­ge Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge, Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. No partner needed as we operate a joker system. Also play on Monday nights at 7 p.m.. Partner required.

TRACTOR RUN

Monageer-Boolavogue GAA Club are holding their annual Tractor and Vintage Run on Sunday, February 3, departing the GAA complex at midday noon. Entry fee is €20 and includes ticket for drivers only draw. Refreshmen­ts will be provided. There will also be a raffle on the day. For any queries please contact Colin Hawkins at 086 1587139.

WALKING/RUNNING GROUP

An open social walking/running group has commenced in Kilmuckrid­ge. Meets will take place at new time of 8 p.m. each Monday to Friday evening starting at St Joseph’s NS for anyone who wishes to take part.

Anyone interested can join the informatio­nal WhatsApp Group by contacting Yvonne O’Sullivan at 087 9555282 or otherwise simply turn up any evening that suits and join in. At least two members of the group will definitely be out each of the nights except for nights where a Red Warning has been issued for the area.

This is a casual group set up to encourage people to get out and about with others in the community for some gentle exercise at a pace that suits each individual. Looking forward to meeting any new joiners.

BUFFERS ALLEY GAA

Tickets are currently on sale for the annual Sunday lunch that will take place on February 3.

Membership night and sale with the club going online at O’Neills Sportsware. Remaining stock will be on sale at the membership night, Friday till 9 p.m. Lorraine Murphy will continue to stock shorts, socks and jerseys. Membership may be paid on the night as well as completion of registrati­on forms.

Well done to everyone who took part, donated prizes or helped in anyway to ensure that the GAA quiz was a great success. Winners: one, Michael Verny, Colm Breen, Darragh Butler and Brian Coughlan; two, Fr Jim Butler, Bob Butler, Theo Butler and Michael Lally; three, Pat Doran, Kelly Doran and Gavin O’Donovan.

CAMOGIE AWARDS NIGHT – Buffers Alley camogie club are hosting a camogie awards night on Saturday, February 23, in Buffers Alley Clubhouse to celebrate our clubs great achievemen­ts in 2018. There will be a food and drinks reception at 8 p.m. followed by the medal presentati­on at 9 p.m. and music by Off the Record. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased from adult members of the camogie club, Noelle Doran or Emer O’Leary.

SQUASH CLUB – The squash court is currently getting a facelift and it is hoped to have it up and running in the coming weeks. Check out Buffers Alley FB for further details.

AFTERSCHOO­L

Little Acorns are now taking bookings for the afterschoo­l club which will operate till 5.30 p.m. Pick up from St Joseph’s Primary school at 1.40 p.m. and 2.40 p.m. by our childcare team. Subvention schemes available. Contact 053 9130393.

MEN’S SHED

The Kilmuckrid­ge Men’s Shed is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.30 till 16.00. Call in any time during these hours have a coffee meet everyone and see some of the projects the group have made. For more informatio­n phone 053 9130393. Everyone welcome all age groups.
