‘Two Loves’ production’s final nights
THIS WEEKEND will be the last chance for people to see Ballyoughter Drama Group’s production of Jimmy Keary’s hit comedy play ‘The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley’.
The group will take to the stage in Camolin Hall, at 8 p.m. nightly, on Friday, February 8, and on Saturday, February 9.
Directed by Jimmy Kavanagh, the play is set in rural Ireland and focuses on Gabriel Foley, a middle-aged bachelor farmer who is unlucky in love. Much to his mother’s frustration, he is unaware of his admirers but finally finds some confidence after a neighbour shows him the finer points of romancing a woman.
Brendan Cullen plays the role of Gabriel Foley, while Jack Redmond plays Liam Gavigan, a good humoured neighbour who is always on hand for some much needed advice.
Tickets are €10 for adults and €5 for kids. They are available from Ballyoughter National School on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 9.15 a.m. until 1.15 p.m. or by calling 053 9382000. Tickets can also be bought in Jack’s Tavern in Camolin or by calling Margaret at 086 8531927. Doors open each evening at 7.30 p.m.
