GARDENING GROUP

FINCHES FITNESS

RURAL TRANSPORT.

The local link bus leaves Askamore Church car park at 9.30 a.m. every Tuesday morning and 9.45 on Saturday mornings. This is a vital link to Gorey for many people and we would encourage people to use the service as often as possible. Phone Willie – 087 2449167 – for more informatio­n.

GAA LOTTO

The latest lotto draw wasn’t won. The numbers drawn were 17, 20, 24 and 25. Patrick Kinsella, Jim Ryan of Moss House, George Levingston and Mary O’Neill won the Lucky Dips. Martin Kenny won the Sellers’ Prize. The next draw is in Codd’s, Kilrush tonight Tuesday, February 5, and the jackpot is now €3,300. €2 tickets are available from players and members.

Coolgreany SPLIT-THE-POT DRAW

45 CARD DRIVE

A very successful 45 Card Drive is ongoing in the Coolgreany Inn on each Friday night at 8.30 p.m., everyone is very welcome to come along for a good night of craic at the cards, and some lovely finger food thrown in for good measure. So please join us if you enjoy a game of 45.

Pilgrimage to Lourdes – The annual diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from May 11 to May 16. Each year we run a parish lottery draw to select a person to represent the parish of Craanford-Monaseed. Entry to the lottery costs €10 and is available before and after Masses in Craanford this weekend and for the next few weekends. ‘Learn the basics’ With Pat Redmond six-week programme to teach every parent how to practice the basic hurling and camogie skills with your children at home. There was no jackpot winner on the 28th. There were three match-three winners. The numbers were 9, 10, 15 and 17. The next draw for €6,500, takes place in Noel’s on February 11.

Adult football and hurling training has started in Kilanerin and in the Rock. This could be a very good year for the four teams. So come along to the matches and enjoy the craic on the sidelines.
