BRIDGE CLUB

Come play bridge in Seán Óg’s Kilmuckrid­ge Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge, Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. No partner needed as we operate a joker system. We also play on Monday nights at 7 p.m., partner required.

SOCIAL WALKING/ RUNNING GROUP

An open social walking/running group has commenced in Kilmuckrid­ge. Meets will take place at new time of 8 p.m. each Monday to Friday evening starting at St Joseph’s NS for anyone who wishes to take part. Anyone interested can join the informatio­nal What’s App Group by contacting Yvonne O’Sullivan at 087 9555282 or otherwise simply turn up any evening that suits and join in.

At least two members of the group will definitely be out each of the nights except for nights where a Red Warning has been issued for the area. This is a casual group set up to encourage people to get out and about with others in the community for some gentle exercise at a pace that suits each individual. Looking forward to meeting any new joiners.

BUFFERS ALLEY GAA

SQUASH LAUNCH – Squash is now up and running in Buffers Alley. There is an introducto­ry membership fee for 2019 – Adult membership €50; Underage €25 and family membership for €100. For further details, contact Séamus Kavanagh, chairperso­n of organising committee at 086 8511036.

CLUB MONTHLY DRAW – The annual club monthly draw tickets are now in circulatio­n and are available from the usual promoters. The tickets cost €10 per month or €120 for the full year with a special draw for all those who have paid the full amount before the January and February draws on February 28. Promoters are to return tickets asap to John Farrell/Ger Hendrick (Kilmuckrid­ge area) and Leonard Lacey/Cate Donohoe (Monamolin area). PS: There are opportunit­ies to pay for this Club Draw, membership and the Model Co Draw by Standing Order on a monthly basis.

SHEDFEST 2019 – This annual event will take place this year in Buffers Alley on Saturday, June 22, with more details in the coming months.

ONLINE GEAR SHOP – Buffers Alley, in conjunctio­n with O’Neill’s Sportswear, has commenced an online shop. Some special offers for first time purchases. Check the club’s FB page for further details. Lorraine Murphy will continue to stock socks and shorts.

WEXFORD WATER SAFETY AGM

Wexford Water Safety’s AGM will take place on March 2 at 7.30 p.m. in the Talbot Hotel, Wexford.

Little Acorns is now taking bookings for the afterschoo­l club which will operate till 5.30 p.m. Pick up from St Joseph’s Primary school at 1.40 p.m. and 2.40 p.m. by our childcare team. Subvention schemes available. Contact 053 9130393.

MEN’S SHED

The Kilmuckrid­ge Men’s Shed is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.30 till 16.00. Call in any time during these hours have a coffee meet everyone and see some of the projects the group have made. For more informatio­n phone 053 9130393. Everyone welcome all age groups.
