Mr Oil is almost 10 years in business
2020 will see Mr Oil celebrate 10 years delivering home heating oil to the people of Wexford, Carlow and South Kilkenny. From our first day in business, we wanted to be a household name, the first oil company you would think of when you need to refill your oil tank.
Mr Oil is lucky to be based in the triving village of Adamstown, which is in the centre of county Wexford. Adamstown is a hive of activity, which is the host for a first class education centre - a new build secondary school, a national school, many local business, 30 last count, from the local post office to cheese makers.
The farmers in the area produce and reap top quality agricultural produce, which are displayed annual at the Adamstown Show held first Saturday in July each year. For leisure time there are numerous clubs and societies to get involved in in Adamstown – GAA, soccer, athletics, fitness class, ICA, to name but a few. Mr Oil is one of those local family run businesses, headed up by Ciaran Mooney and Seamus Darcy.
When the Mr Oil drivers and staff need some down time there is plenty to do. Ciaran spends his time working but has intentions of taking up golf. Seamus is originally from Whitechurch, now lives in New Ross where he is involved in local charities.
Our drivers Ian Cleary and Darren Foyle are newly weds and claim to spend most of their downtime cleaning and babysitting own newborns. Joe Mooney is a keen athlete, is on the national team and has his dreams set on the Olympics.
Damain Murphy spends his time following his son Conor hot-rodding & daughter Tara at Dog shows. Ed Harney and Joe Rame spend their downtime chasing active toddlers and enjoy swimming. Liam O Toole likes to spend his time gardening, organic farming and keeps a few hens. Jason Ryan likes to take his motorbike out for a spin at the weekends. Tom Scallan is a keen mechanic and loves to bring his grandchild Joe for long walks. Dermot Holden also loves his motorbikes. Office staff Jodie Rossister has a long tradition in her family as animal lovers and she spends her downtime with her horses. Collette Ring loves traditional Irish music, she plays and plays to all who listens. Marie Mooney likes to run. Ella English is a transition year student, has just joined to gain some office experience – she’s the one that keeps the average age of the staff down and helps us all feel young. That’s the mad bunch at Mr Oil. Mr Oil pride ourselves on offering the keenest prices with little or no delay in delivery times and look forward to servicing the heating oil market in Wexford, Carlow, South Kilkenny for the next 10 years.
