Bluebell rounds off fine week for owner

IT WAS good to see a bitch stake take place at Enniscorthy dog track last week, and the final of the A4 event on Thursday went to the Cora Doyle (Barntown)-owned Bluebell who ran out a clear twolength winner in a time of 29.45 -30 slow.

Bluebell was winning for the sixth time, and she rounded off a good week for the owner as her Lady Diva also scored on Monday night.

Race three saw a very welcome change of luck for the very consistent Sniffer Dog, placed no less than 30 times.

It was 14 months since he last scored, starting as he usually does behind in the early stages, but this time he came through in style to score a clearcut three-length win over the 550. The longer run-in was right up his street to score his fifth career win for Richard Stafford.

There was some nice performances recorded on Monday night also. In race five, Liam Kavanagh’s Bistro Lord raced to a clearsevenandahalflengthwin in a good 29.26 -30 slow.

Race seven saw Ballinaboola Rum also score by a wide margin, coming home five lengths clear in a time of 29.29 -30 slow for Niamh Murphy.

In race eight the Eilish McCann-owned Ballinclare Enda handled his jump in class impressively as he showed nice gears to pass pace-setter Karlow Leader at the third bend to come away and score in 29.29 -30 slow.
