O’Grady grabs a double as Rajahs beat Cushinstow­n

Division 3

Jamie O’Grady was the match winner for Ajax Athletic as they moved to the top of Division 3 on Sunday.

O’Grady netted both goals for the Rajahs in their 2-0 win over Cushinstow­n.

Local rivals Enniscorth­y Town are hot on their heels after a 3-1 away win over Duncannon. Kallan Murphy, Keith Casey and John Breen got the goals for Town, with Keith Donnelly on target for the seasiders.

Wexford Celtic were on top of the table going into the weekend but they suffered a 2-1 defeat to St. Joseph’s on Sunday, with Des Mythen and Seán Keane scoring for Joey’s, while Rosslare Strand and Killenagh shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw.

Strand held a 1-0 advantage at the break courtesy of a Danny O’Reilly penalty, but Billy Dunne scored the equaliser midway through the second-half.

Shelburne hit Forth Celtic for six without reply, with Eoin Kelly, Chris Connick, Brian Lynch, Conor Lyng, Ciarán O’Connor and Jess Quigley all scoring for the winners.

Division 3A

All Blacks’ unbeaten run came to an end on Sunday when they were beaten 3-1 by local rivals Fastnet Rovers.

Paddy Walsh was the main man for the Rathangan outfit, scoring a hat-trick to earn his side the bragging rights.

Kenneth Redmond and Shane Lawlor got the goals for Rathnure United as they ran out 2-1 winners away to Ballymurn Celtic, with Eoghan Kehoe scoring for the hosts.

A goal with 15 minutes remaining from Danny Mullan earned Fethard Rangers a share of the spoils with Rosbecon United.

Fethard held a 1-0 advantage at the break after Paul Connolly slammed home his first goal for the club, following up a Graham O’Grady effort that came back off the post.

Two quickfire goals from Jamie St. Ledger after the interval edged Rosbercon in front, but Mullan headed home Connolly’s corner to earn Rangers a point.

Alex Wilson, Conor Keeling, Theo Doyle and Andy Butler all got on the scoresheet for Crossabeg as they overwhelme­d Wexford Bohs 4-0, while a John Brennan goal was enough for Bunclody to beat Courtown Hibs. Division 4

Emmet Byrne netted a late equaliser to earn table-toppers Rosslare Rangers a share of the spoils away to Caim United on Sunday.

Anthony Peare fired the hosts in front, but Byrne struck late to earn Rangers a point.

Camolin Celtic closed the gap on the pacesetter­s with a 3-2 win over Kiltealy Celtic, with Daryl Murphy (two) and Paul Carton scoring for the winners, and John McCormack and John McCarthy replying.

Alan Diskin (two), Jordan Hayes and Cathal Cummins hit the back of the net for Corach Ramblers as they got the better of St. Joseph’s by the odd goal in seven, with Brendan McCreary (two) and Jamie Warren scoring for the Kilmuckrid­ge men.

Ferns United also earned a 4-3 triumph, with Paddy Roche (two), Owen Ronan and Gary Breslin scoring in their 4-3 win over Carne FC. Danny Walsh (two) and Kyle Ferguson-Murphy replied for the seasiders. Division 4A

Wexford Bohs lead the way in Division 4A after a victory over The Ballagh United on Sunday.

Beau Brennan bagged a double and Eoin Whitty got their other goal as they ran out 3-1 winners.

Campile United are just a point behind in second place after a 5-3 triumph over Enniscorth­y Town.

Alan Walsh (two), Martin Nolan, Ben Cummins and Nigel Dunne scored for the winners, with Mark ‘Vicker’ Doyle netting a hat-trick for Town.

Enniscorth­y United made it six wins from six with second-half goals from Darren Walsh and Jamie Foley (two) earning them a 3-1 win over St. Leonards. Matty Flynn grabbed the goal for the saints.

James Doyle (two), Liam Rockett, Seán Keane-Carroll and Craig Parker got the goals for Curracloe United in their 5-1 win over Killenagh Wanderers, with Stephen Doran replying.

Shamrock Rovers overcame St. Cormac’s 8-2, thanks to four goals from Dillon Shannon, a Mark Redmond hat-trick, and a Steve O’Brien strike.

Division 5

Camolin Celtic continue to lead the way in Division 5 after a 3-2 away win over New Ross Town on Sunday.

Stuart Byrne, Daniel Kennedy and Michael Murphy scored for the visitors, with Dean Donnelly and Willie Banville hitting the back of the net for Town.

Enniscorth­y United remain a point behind in second after they also eked out a 3-2 win, overcoming Wexford Celtic at Sinnottsto­wn Lane with goals from Adam Casey and Hasane Smyth (two).

Caleb O’Brien and Emmet Sinnott hit the back of the net for the hosts.

Shelburne United got another three points on the board as they saw off Ajax Athletic 2-0 with goals from Ciarán O’Connor and Jamie O’Rourke, while John Codd, Robert Cogley and Barry Brennan got the goals for All Blacks as they beat Fastnet Rovers 3-0.

Conor Whelan, Barry Doyle and Tommie Smiley hit the back of the net for Glynn Barntown in their 3-1 win over Adamstown, with Ivor Whitty replying.
