UNDER-14 HURLING

The boys are progressin­g well in the Martin Storey Tournament with recent victories over Oylegate-Glenbrien and St Anne’s. They have two more group games to play, against St Martin’s and Buffers Alley. Best of luck to the panel, their manager Philip Rossiter and selectors Alan O’Connor and Dean O’Connor.

CAMOGIE FUNDRAISER

Oulart-The Ballagh camogie club are hosting a fundraiser ‘Look Good-Feel Good’ on Sunday, November 24, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Riverside Hotel. There will be various demonstrat­ions throughout the afternoon including Floral Arranging, Kinesiolog­y, Make-Up, Grooming and a Fashion Show. There will also be numerous stands of crafts and Artisan foods, Style Items, Gift Ideas etc around the room. Tickets at €10 are available from players and committee.

CLUB LOTTO

The lotto draw takes place every two weeks. The prize fund is now €15,000. The winning numbers at the last draw were 8, 12, 16 and 19 and the bonus number was 13. The five €30 lucky-dip winners were Timmy McCormack, Kieran Sinnott, Mel, Dara and Éanna Swords, Michelle Harding and Noeleen and K. O’Connor. All money made from the lotto go towards the upkeep and maintenanc­e of the club. A big thank you to everyone who continuall­y support the lotto every two weeks.

GAA SCÓR NA NÓG

GAA, camogie, Rounders and handball members with an interest in song, dance, variety, music etc represent their club and enter the Scór Talent Competitio­ns. The New Ross/Wexford semi-final of Scór na nÓg took place in Rathangan Hall on November 15 while the Enniscorth­y/Gorey semi-final was held in Oulart Community Centre on the following night, Saturday, November 16. The county final, featuring the qualifiers from the semi-finals will take place in Oulart on Friday, November 22. The Scór na nÓg table quiz will be held in St, Martin’s GAA Complex on Thursday, November 28.

AGM CHANGE OF DATE

Oulart-The Ballagh GAA Club’s annual general meeting that was fixed for Friday, November 29, had to be re-arranged on account of a clash with the Dáil Bye-Election Vote that takes place on the same date, at the same venue. The new date for the AGM is Saturday, November 30, at 7.30 p.m. The re-scheduled date and new venue for the annual Coiste na nÓg End of Year Meeting is Friday, November 22, at 8.30 p.m. in the Ballagh National School.

COACHING

Following the completion of a very successful Foundation Coaching Course in Oulart the club congratula­tes the participan­ts and thanks the course tutors Ray Harris and Murt Flynn, who presented the course in three modules. The input of the new coaches and the continued service of those already trained is a very positive asset for our club.

COISTE NA NÓG BINGO

On Sunday, November 10, the bingo in Oulart Community Centre was in aid of Coiste na nÓg and €900 was raised. Míle buíochas to all who attended and helped organise the bingo.

BUS TO BLANCHARDS­TOWN

On November 30 a bus to Blanchards­town Shopping Centre will leave Blackwater at 8 a.m. and Oulart at 8.20 a.m. and will arrive in Blanchards­town at 10 a.m. approximat­ely. Shoppers will have till 5 p.m. to shop and browse the more than 180 outlets in the centre. The bus fare is only €20. For full details ring David Gray at 087 9562978.
