BRIDGE CLUB

Come play bridge in Seán Óg’s Kilmuckrid­ge Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge, Thursday mornings at 9.50 a.m. for a 10 a.m. start.

No partner needed as we operate a joker system. There was no game this Monday, November 25.

New members welcome. Names are now being taken for Christmas competitio­n on December 5 also numbers for Christmas Lunch on December 12.

SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL

St Vincent de Paul will take up the annual Christmas Appeal collection at all Masses on the weekend of December 7/8. SVDP thank you for your generous support in the past and looks forward to your continued support in the future. All money collected will be used to relive financial stress for families locally.

COLÁISTE AN ÁTHA CHRISTMAS MARKET.

The annual Coláiste an Átha Christmas Market is on Friday, November 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event will be hosted by the TY and LCA students. The students will be selling their own enterprise projects on the night. Coláiste an Átha looks forward to welcoming the local community to our school gym to browse an array of stalls and games. Get into the festive spirit and enjoy our choir. Start your Christmas shopping early and pick from crafts, gifts, confection­ery and jewellery sold by our students and local vendors. There’s something for everyone.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING BUS

Why not get all your Christmas shopping done under one roof in one day, and beat the December crowds and leave the car at home.

On Saturday, November 30, a bus will leave Blackwater at 8 a.m. and head to Oulart (for collection at 8.20 a.m.) and then head straight to Blanchards­town shopping centre where you can browse to your hearts content with over 180 shops including Smyths toys, Debenhams and Marks and Spencers, plus many many more shops.

The bus will arrive in Blanchards­town at 10 a.m approximat­ely and leave at 5 p.m, leaving loads of time to get your bits and pieces done. The cost of the bus is only €20 per person. For further details, call David at 087 9562978. Coffee morning.

There is a coffee morning in the Crosses on Sunday, November 24, at 11 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Door/Raffle Prizes, Admission €3. Proceeds to Kilmuckrid­ge Christmas Lights.

AFTERSCHOO­L

Little Acorns is taking bookings for the afterschoo­l club which will operate till 5 p.m. Pick up from St Joseph’s Primary school at 1.40 p.m. and 2.40 p.m. by our childcare team. Subvention schemes available. Contact 053 9130393.

MEN’S SHED

The Kilmuckrid­ge Men’s Shed is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call in any time during these hours have a coffee meet everyone and see some of the projects the group have made. For more informatio­n phone 053 9130393. Everyone welcome all age groups.
