GROUP94 CHRISTMAS FAIR

Group94 is holding a Christmas Craft Fair to help raise funds for the Enniscorth­y group of the Irish Pilgrimage Trust. The event, which will include a monster raffle, will take place in Bree Community Centre throughout the day from 10 a.m.

CHRISTMAS WHIST

A Christmas Whist session will take place in Salt n Pepper restaurant, Enniscorth­y at 2.30 p.m. The cost of admission will be €5 and there will be various prizes up for grabs with a top score prize of €50.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR

Wexford Arts Centre presents its Annual Christmas craft fair, in associatio­n with the Wexford Craft Trail, from December 8 – 23. The Quay Note Choir will be on hand add to the festive atmosphere as crafts from across the county will be on display in the pillar room. The Craft Fair is open Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; and on Sunday, December 16 and 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

TAGOAT CHRISTMAS TREE SWITCH ON AND CELEBRATIO­NS

Join us at St Mary’s Church grounds, Tagoat at 5pm for the turning on of the Christmas lights and singing from St Mary’s National School. We will have a special visit from Santa, who we will get to meet at the Community Centre afterwards. There will be hot chocolate and cookies for all children and mulled wine and mince pies for adults on the night.

TAGHMON CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

The skies around Taghmon will be well lit up for the turning on of the Christmas lights. Some of our local vintage tractors will arrive in style and they will be carrying a special family – Santa, Mrs Claus and some of their elves. There will be a blessing of the remembranc­e bows on our Christmas tree. It should be a night to remember, so come along and join us.

SCREEN/CURRACLOE CHRISTMAS PARTY

The annual Christmas party for the senior citizens of the Screen/ Curracloe area takes place in Hotel Curracloe. You are invited to attend at 2.30 p.m. for dinner which will be served up at 3 p.m. Following the dinner, all guests will be entertaine­d by music and song. The organising committee look forward to seeing everyone there.

KILLANNE TRACTOR RUN

The Killanne Tractor Run starts at 1 p.m. with raffle and prizes afterwards in Killanne Hall. The annual celebratio­n of turning on the Christmas lights will take place on Killanne cross at 5 p.m. This is always a great event, with rumours of a special guest appearance on the night.

SANTA’S NORTH POLE EXPERIENCE

Enter the magical and captivatin­g world of the North Pole during Santa’s North Pole Experience, which will be on Wexford Quay this Christmas as part of Wexford Winterland.

The cost of entry varies: children aged 3-12: €17; toddlers aged 1 – 2: € 8.50; children under 12 months: free; adults: €8.50. Children and toddler tickets include a gift from Santa Claus.

WEXFORD ON ICE

Wexford on Ice will take place on the Quay in Wexford Town right up until January 5. Stability aids are available for first-time skaters and there is a dedicated kiddie rink and kiddie skates for the little ones.

There will also be sensory friendly and wheelchair family skate sessions on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10.a.m. (These sensory friendly sessions will be free).

The cost to skate is €11 - €48 (prices vary at off-peak times and for family bookings). On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the last skate is from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wexford on Ice will be closed on Christmas Day. To contact the box office, call 053 9199199. RATHNURE PANTO

This year’s pantomime in Rathnure Hall will begin on Sunday, December 8, at 6.30 p.m. and will continue on December 11, 12,13 (7.45 p.m.), December 15 (6 p.m.), December 16 and 18th (7.45 p.m.), and three shows after Christmas on December 27 (7.45 p.m.), December 28 and 29 at 6 p.m. To book tickets call 087 0680564 or 087 6954112, or book through messenger on the Rathnure Panto Facebook page.

SUSTAINABL­E CHRISTMAS MARKET

Join Seal Rescue Ireland in Courtown for the Sustainabl­e Christmas Market as the charity host a family fun day. All are welcome to visit the seals in their care, enjoy an educationa­l tour, do some Christmas shopping at the stalls and join the fun kids’ activities.
