Bates goal earns a point for Strand

Division 3

A Nathan Bates goal with 15 minutes remaining earned Rosslare Strand a share of the spoils against fellow high-flyers Enniscorth­y Town on Sunday.

A stunning 30-yard volley from Steven O’Reilly gave Strand the lead midway through the first-half, but Town took control and goals from Eamonn Cash and Danny Breen edged them in front.

However, Rosslare battled back and Bates hit the net to ensure the points were shared.

Ajax Athletic moved level with Town as the top of the table with a 3-1 win over Killenagh Wanderers. Glenn Fortune (two) and Liam Moore hit the back of the net for the Rajahs.

Des Mythen (two) and Seán Keane got the goals for St. Joseph’s as they edged out Duncannon 3-2, with Aaron Curry and Callum Gamble replying.

Wexford Celtic and Forth Celtic played out a 2-2 draw, with Kyle Mann and Richie Browne scoring for the Sinnottsto­wn Lane side and Jack Roche netting a double for Forth. Division 3A

Fethard Rangers leapfrogge­d All Blacks on Sunday by edging out their rivals 1-0 in a top of the table clash. The winning goal came in injury time, when a lofted ball from midfield was held up by the wind and Jean-Luc Tubritt got in behind the defence and lobbed the ball over the advancing goalkeeper.

Crossabeg and Rathnure shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw, with Andy Butler and David Berney scoring for the former and Niall Dillon and John Kavanagh replying.

Bunclody and Ballymurn also shared four goals between them, with Dion Dunne netting twice for ‘Clody and Paul Dempsey and Josh Whitehead hitting the back of the net for Celtic.

Kyle Kennedy and Dylan O’Brien got the goals for Fastnet Rovers in their 2-1 win away to Rosbercon United, with Tommy Quinn netting for the hosts. Division 4

Camolin moved above Rosslare Rangers to the top of the Division 4 table by overcoming their rivals 3-2 on Sunday.

Glen Carton and Darragh Curran (two) got the goals for the new league leaders, while Jason Ellard and Rees Broaders scored for Rangers.

Kiltealy Celtic overwhelme­d Bridge Rovers 8-1, while Cloughbawn netted a magnificen­t seven without reply against Carne FC.

Peter Furlong helped himself to four goals, while Stephen Kennedy, James O’Neill and Lewis Comiskey grabbed one apiece.

Ferns United had too much firepower for Corach Ramblers, with Barry Breen, Paddy Roche, Byron Jordan and Owen Ronan scoring for the hosts in a 4-1 victory and Cathal Cummins replying.

Meanwhile, Eddie Power and Paudie Lacey got the goals for Caim United as they won 2-0 away to St. Joseph’s. Division 4A

Wexford Bohs remain three points clear at the top of Division 4A after winning 2-0 away to Killenagh Wanderers on Sunday, with Beau Brennan and Graham Kelly getting their goals.

Second-placed St. Leonards picked up three points without having to kick a ball as they were handed a walkover from St. Cormac’s.

However, Enniscorth­y United look like they could be the team to beat in the division, having made it eight wins from eight with an 11-2 demolition of Castledock­rell. Darren Walsh helped himself to a five-goal haul, while James Redmond, Billy Millar, Jamie Fox, Ryan Murphy, Ryan Dwyer and Mark Morrissey all grabbed a goal apiece.

Martin Nolan bagged a hattrick for Campile United in their 4-2 win over The Ballagh United, with Jamie Myler also getting in on the act and Anthony Roche and Gareth Sinnott replying.

Curracloe United edged out Shamrock Rovers 2-1, with goals from Rob McGuinness and Seán Reidy.

Division 5

Leaders Camolin Celtic had to be content with a share of the spoils on Sunday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by All Blacks.

Dean Earle and Luke Walker scored for the pace-settters, with Bary Brennan and Jack Doyle replying.

Enniscorth­y United moved to within two points of the leaders with a 3-2 win over Fastnet Rovers. United suffered their first defeat of the season to the same opposition the previous weekend, but this time they were quickly out of the blocks, with goals from Mick Rigley and James Sheridan (two) giving them a 3-0 advantage at the break. Rovers pulled goals back through Gary Doran and Adam Jordan to set up a nervy finish, but United held on to take the points.

Shelburne hit New Ross Town for ten goals without reply, with Eoin Burke, Chris Connick and Billy Cooney all bagging doubles, and Kevin Collins, Jayo Murphy, Luke Connor and Jack Fleming adding a goal apiece.

Adamstown also had their shooting boots on, with Eddie Connors netting a hat-trick in their 7-0 win over Tombrack United. Michael Redmond added a double, while Joey Sinnott and Cathal Delaney grabbed a goal apiece.

Glynn Barntown fought back from a 2-1 half-time deficit to earn a 4-2 win over Wexford Celtic. Jack Wilde scored a goal in each half for the winners, while David Clarke also hit the back of the net and John Leacy added a stunning free-kick.

Ryan Furlong and Conor Meyler got the goals for Celtic.
