COFFEE MORNING

Christmas coffee morning, cake sale and raffle on Sunday, December 15, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Shamrock Hall Kilanerin. Cakes and raffle prizes can be left into the hall on Sunday morning from 10 a.m. all support greatly appreciate­d. Proceeds towards parish funds.

First lady was Kathleen Carr, second lady was Eileen Furlong, third lady was shared by Arlene Dooley, Peg McDonald and Eilish Murphy and half time lady was Meg Doyle. First gent was Peg Byrne, second gent was Seán Murphy, third gent was Bernie Walsh and half time gent was Cyril Byran.

Raffle winners were Kathleen Carr, Eileen Furlong and Marie Cushe. Whist continues in Wednesday night at 8, 30 p.m.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

Soak up the magic of the festive season and enjoy a great afternoon at the Kilanerin Christmas Fair at the KCC on Sunday, December 15, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a wide range of Christmas themed stalls from local food producers and crafters, kids activities Carol Singing Mullen wine and a special visit from Santa.

You can relax and enjoy some delicious treats in the newly opened Cosy Cottage Cafe at KCC All vendor stalls cost €15 Everyone is welcome If you would like to reserve a stall please contact Karen at 087 1401981 or Aileen at 087 9764332.

GAA CLUB NOTES

Well done to Kevin Geoghegan and Bill Owley, who were honoured at the Gorey District awards last week in the Ashdown Park Hotel.

There was no jackpot winner in the lotto draw on the second. There were three match-three winners. The numbers were 8, 13, 19 and 25. The next draw, for €3,100, takes place on Monday the 16th in Noel’s.

A reminder that the Kilanerin-Ballyfad GAA club AGM takes place in the KCC on Friday the 13th at 8 p.m. Everyone welcome.

The club would like to wish everyone in the community a peaceful and healthy Christmas season.
