POSSIBLE CLOSURE OF AQUA PARK

An open meeting will be held on Thursday, December 12, in the hall at 9 p.m. Due to the lack of funds for the day to day running of the Aqua Park we need this meeting.

We are not looking for people to join a committee or give jobs to, we need come up with a way to fund the outgoings of the park, if you have any ideas please come along. Your input is greatly needed as the park is a great asset to the village of Craanford, it would be a great shame if it had to close.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT GROUP

From the November meeting, A big thank you to Lily Blooms for the interestin­g demo on how to make a Christmas Garland. On Wednesday, December 11, we will be having our Christmas outing to Wells House where we will have lunch and a tour of the house and a little shopping.

The bus will leave Craanford Carpark at midday. Bus is €10 (Those, who have not yet paid) Please bring lunch money. Thank you.

PARENT/TODDLER GROUP

The parent and Toddler Group will be meeting in Craanford Community Hall on Thursday morning, December 12, and that will be the last meeting of Craanford Parent Toddler in 2019. The next one will be on January 16, 2020, and will proceed each fortnight after that date. €3 per family. For further informatio­n please call 087 6103624.

MASSES THIS WEEK – Monday to Thursday at 9.15 a.m. each day. Wednesday morning’s Mass will be the December monthly celebratio­n with St Patrick’s National School community and will have the theme of ‘Advent’. Parents, grandparen­ts and friends of the school are welcome to attend.

PENANCE SERVICES – Advent Penance Services will take place on Monday, December 16, at7.30 p.m. in Monaseed and 8 p.m. in Craanford.

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE – We welcome Tuisceart Loch Garman in collaborat­ion with our Parish Choir and friends for a service of Carols on Friday, December 20, at 7 p.m. in St Patrick’s Church, Craanford. Please come along and bring a friend. Christmas Mass Bouquet Cards: are now available via the parish office in Craanford Community Centre (Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) and from Doyle’s LONDIS, Gorey Road Cost is €5 (including card) while stocks last.

BOOKING MASSES – All Months Mind and Anniversar­y Masses are now booked via the parish office which is open from Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Your co-operation is greatly appreciate­d.

VISITATION OF THE SICK/ HOUSEBOUND – We are anxious to visit those who cannot celebrate Mass with us due to illness, handicap or age. Arrangemen­ts to receive the sacraments at home can be made by calling Fr Richard or Fr Felix. Kindly notify us of parishione­rs who are housebound or hospitalis­ed so they can be visited. We are always pleased also to receive invitation­s to visit your home or to give a house blessing.

GAA CLUB NEWS

Camogie AGM is on December 19 at 9 p.m. in the complex. All motions etc to be with secretary Noel Kelly by December 12 Date for Diary Adult AGM Sunday, January 12, 2020, in Craanford Community centre at 6 p.m.

National Club Draw tickets will be on sale shortly and we thank you for your support. All proceeds from this draw are reinvested back into the club. Tickets are €10.
