Enter the magical and captivating world of the North Pole during Santa’s North Pole Experience, which will be on Wexford Quay this Christmas as part of Wexford Winterland.
Firstly, children and families will meet Ellie the Elf. Then, the Enchanted Gates will lead people into the Elves’ Village where children can post their letters in Santa’s official post box. Children will also visit the Elves’ Workshop. Patch the Elf will then bring families, individually, to meet and receive a gift from Santa Claus.
The cost of entry varies: children aged 3-12: €17; toddlers aged 1 – 2: € 8.50; children under 12 months: free; adults: €8.50. Children and toddler tickets include a gift from Santa Claus. Under 12 months tickets do not include a gift. You can book a toddler ticket for a baby if you wish.

An exhibition of work by artists Aoife Banville and Elayne O’Connor will continue to be exhibited in the Presentation Centre in Enniscorthy until December 20.
The title of the exhibition, ‘Tyndall’, relates to the ‘Tyndall effect’ where small particles cause a scattering of light to make rainbows or a blue sky; small effects with a big impact, the occurence was originally discovered by an Irish physicist named John Tyndall. Wexford on Ice will take place on the Quay in Wexford Town right up until January 5. This authentic ice rink is one of the biggest in the country,
There will also be sensory friendly and wheelchair family skate sessions on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10.a.m. (These sensory friendly sessions will be free, with the organisers just asking for a donation to a charity on the day).
The cost is €11 - €48 (prices vary at off-peak times and for family bookings). Off-peak adult – €13; offpeak child (12 years and under) – €11; off-peak family of 3 – €34; off-peak family of 4 – €40. Gorey Choral Group will host its annual Christmas concert in the Ashdown Park Hotel. Enjoy a soiree of festive classics featuring Clare Kavanagh, soprano, commencing with a mulled wine reception at 7.30 p.m.
Concert doors open at 7.50 p.m. and finger food will be served at the interval. Tickets are €15 and are available in Wade’s Pharmacy and Whitmore Jewellers, Main Street, Gorey, the Ashdown Park Hotel, directly from choir members or on the door and are subject to capacity.

CLONEGAL NS CHRISTMAS PLAY
The Clonegal National School Christmas play take place in St Brigid’s Hall. Parents and extended family members are welcome to attend. There is no charge for attendance at the show, but traditionally there will be a donation box at the door. The proceeds will go towards purchasing two goats for Bóthar. Please support generously. ART EXHIBITION
’My Town’ exhibition by artist Michael Sheridan begins tonight from 7.30 p.m. in Gorey’s Market House on the Main Street. It runs until Christmas Eve at 4 p.m. at same venue and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily. ‘My Town’ pays homage to Michael’s hometown of Gorey and the colourful work is distinctive in its clean lines, and express both the vibrant spirit and atmosphere of the delightful buildings. Picturesque structures are all brought to life with contrasting and harmonious colours and bold compositions. All welcome.

Internationally acclaimed soprano Deirdre Masterson and friends present ‘The Spirit of Christmas’ in St Michael’s Church, Gorey, with all proceeds to the Ballycanew National School Fundraising Appeal. CEOLCHOIRM NA NOLLAG
An Irish Christmas: Ceolchoirm na Nollag is the title of a concert at St Iberius Church, Wexford at 7 p.m. Organised by the Wexford town branch of Comhaltas, the focus is on Irish music, songs and poetry that convey a sense of what has made Christmas in Ireland down through the ages so unique. The concert offers one an opportunity to step out of the seasonal noise and bustle to enjoy a period of quiet reflection more in keeping with the true meaning of Christmas. Organiser and fiddle maestro Alice McIntyre invites you to “tóg tamall beag as do shaol ghnóthach agus bígí linn ag an oíche speisialta seo”. There is no admission charge.
