OPERATION TRANSFORMA­TION NATIONAL WALK DAY.

Ballygarre­tt Tidy Towns Operation Transforma­tion National Walk Day takes place on Saturday, January 18, 11 a.m. Meeting at Cahore Pier from 10.30 a.m. for registrati­on and warm up to music before the 11 a.m. start.

This is a 4.82km loop walk starting from Cahore Pier, with a choice of two routes with one destinatio­n. A loop walk from Cahore point to Old Bawn and back to Cahore. Route 1 the Cahore Cliff walk over to Old Bawn along the beach and back via the road. Route 2 will go along the road from Cahore Pier to Old Bawn. Suitable for all family members, dogs allowed but must be on a lead. Contact Bernie Byrne 087 9389288.

TIDY TOWNS

Crafty Thursday is back in the Wishing Well starting Thursday 16 th January from 9.15 a.m.

Whether you want to make a pom pom rug, Garland or pom pom Easter wreath, the list is endless. Workshop presented by Wendy.

Participan­ts bring along wool and cardboard to get started. A decision on what you want to make can be made after the first get together.

Come along for a chat and a cuppa. Free to attend.

GOREY BUS LINKS NEW TIMETABLE

Gorey bus links now runs three times a day, six days a week. Outbound Monday to Saturday Ballygarre­tt Schooner – 9.35 a.m., Return Ballygarre­tt Peigs Bar 1.36 p.m., Evening service 5.36 p.m. Free Travel Pass accepted and Single Fare €5.

BLOTTO RESULTS

There was no jackpot winner in the Ballygarre­tt Réalt na Mara GAA Club blotto draw on January 6. The numbers picked were 17, 25, 26 and 28. The €20 luckydip winners were Declan Dunbar, Courtown; Ann Casey c/o Patty Casey; Mary Naughter and GC; Orla Wafer; Pat Shortall c/o Parklands. Five Free Tickets Winner: Jackie and Helen O’Connor. Next draw is on January 13 in the Taravie, jackpot will be €6,600.

Dates for you Diary: On January 31 our annual poker night will take place. On February 22 the club dinner dance will take place in Upton Court Kilmuckrid­ge. Tickets available.

BRIDGE CLUB

Come play bridge in Seán Óg’s Kilmuckrid­ge Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge, Thursday mornings at 9.50 a.m. for a 10 a.m. start. No partner needed as we operate a joker system. We also play on Monday evening 6: 50 for 7 p.m. start, partner needed.
