North End and Forth Celtic progress in LFA Youths Cup

North End United progressed in the LFA Youths Cup with an impressive 3-1 win over Naas FC on Saturday.

Aaron Roche netted a double for the Wexford town side, while Shane Clancy also chipped in with a goal.

Ewan Russell and Will Foley both hit the back of the net for Campile United, but they lost out 5-2 to fellow Wexford representa­tives Forth Celtic.

Meanwhile, Rosslare Rangers were beaten 6-0 by a good Freebooter­s outfit.

St. Joseph’s breezed into the second round of the Stanno Youths Cup, running out convincing 7-0 winners over New Ross Town.

Gorey Rangers and Cloughbawn came away with a point apiece after a 1-1 draw in their Youth Premier Division clash on Saturday. Ayman Allain got the goal for Rangers, while Shane Kehoe hit the back of the net for Cloughbawn.

Bridge Rovers earned the local bragging rights when edging out local rivals Curracloe United 2-1 in their MMI Group Youth Division 1 match on Saturday. Aaron Kinsella and Corey Lawlor hit the back of the net for the Castlebrid­ge side, while Paul Hearne replied.

Glynn Barntown saw off Wexford Celtic 2-0 thanks to Alan Mahoney and an own goal, while St. Leonards beat Kilmore United 3-1, with goals from Evan Kiely, Michael Bradley and Shane Ryan.

Leaders Shelburne United made it ten wins from ten in Youths Division 2 with a 3-0 victory away to Tombrack United on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Scott Keegan, Dylan Brady, Eoin Gahan and Fionn Walsh (two) scored for St. Cormac’s in their 5-2 win away to Ferns United.

Adamstown were the big hitters in Youth Division 3 on Saturday as they romped to a 10-0 win over Taghmon United. Chris Mahon grabbed a hat-trick, Leon Sinnott, David O’Gorman and Paddy Doyle all added doubles, and James Kelly chipped in with a goal.

Wexford Bohs won 5-1 away to Corach Ramblers, with Shane O’Neill helping himself to a hat-trick and Mickey Dowd contributi­ng a double.

Goals from Patrick Carley and Josh Carley earned Glynn Barntown a 2-1 victory over Wexford Celtic, while a Cillian Byrne hat-trick helped Fastnet Rovers to a 5-2 win over Rosslare Strand.
