Elite display produces fastest time of foggy night

IT WAS a cold and foggy night on Thursday, but racing went ahead at Enniscorthy dog track with some good runs on the all-graded card.

The fastest run of the night came in the last race when Elite Black showed a little too much class for his rivals in this AO/1 525. Showing his usual super early pace, Elite was soon in command and ran out a clearcut winner by four lengths in a good 29.10 -30 slow.

Race six saw a right good battle between Sheilas Machine and Droopys Claire. Droopys had the lead off the second bend and was ahead by two lengths approaching the third bend.

Sheilas stays well and came again up the home straight to get the better of the latter by a length in a time of 29.25 -30 slow.

Race five saw a very nice win for Edermine Cooper as she had to do it the hard way. Lorraine’s Machine set a blistering pace down to the third bend, opening up a good five-length lead, but Edermine was closing the gap quickly off the last bend and came through to score going away by three and a half lengths from Misterin Roddick who did well to get up for second near the line.

Race three, an A5, went to Stripe Primrose who was fast away and went right away from the field to score by five and a half lengths, and raises in grade to A3 after recording a winning time of 29.51 -30 slow.
