VOLUNTARY CARDIAC RESPONSE
Michael Kavanagh will begin training a group of volunteers in Ballindaggin Hall next week on cardiac response and how to use the village defibrillator, which is now housed in an old P & T kiosk in the village. Following training, the group will provide a vital service in the community. POINT TO POINT
There was a large attendance at the Ballinagore Harriers point to point held at Ballycrystal on Sunday, January 19, with a full race programme and 14 races on the card. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon, and the beautiful day was an added advantage as young and not so young gathered to watch this first point to point at the scenic venue at the foot of Mt. Leinster.
DISTRICT GAA AWARDS
Congratulations to long-serving Duffry Rovers club secretary Joan Rafter, Shroughmore, who has been selected as Duffry Rovers person of the year 2019. Joan will be presented with her award in the Riverside Park Hotel at the District GAA awards this Friday, January 31.
