VETERAN PLAYERS

Clonegal Kildavin Veteran players have met for the first time this year in and have commenced planning its 2020 programme. 2019 proved a very successful year. It celebrated the 1919 Junior Championship Gaelic Football win, the first championship to come to the community. It successfully published a local history of the period and brought members of the families of those who participated in the final together. The group are looking forward to an equally event full 2020.

CLONEGAL/KILDAVIN LOTTO RESULTS

There was no winner or online winner in last week’s lotto jackpot of €10,000. Number drawn were 04 -12–13 and 18. Winners that matched three were James Fitz, Ballycarney, Anita Byrne, Bunclody, Dermot Roberts, Orchard, Michael Sweeney, Kildavin and Michael Dunne Clonegal, all receiving €30. Seller’s prize goes to Joanne Byrne, receiving €50. The next draw will take place in Osborne’s Lounge, Clonegal on Sunday February 2 at 10.30 with a jackpot of €10,000 and reserve jackpot of €4,600.

KILDAVIN/CLONEGAL DRAMA GROUP

Kildavin/Clonegal Drama Group are busy rehearsing their production of “Mother Knows Best” by Jimmy Keary. The play will take to the stage on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 February in Spellman Hall, Kildavin at 8pm sharp. So make a note in your diary where a night of entertainment and laughter is guaranteed.

CLONEGAL N.S GRANDPARENTS DAY

Clonegal N.S will celebrate Grandparents day on Wednesday, January 29 2020. A ceremony will take place in St. Bridget’s Church. After the ceremony, Grandparents will attend the school and talk to the children in the various classes followed by a cuppa.
