AFTERNOON TEA – ROARING SUCCESS

The Afternoon Tea in St Bridget Hall on Saturday, January 25, was a roaring success. The organiser’s would like to thank everyone for volunteeri­ng, donating and supporting this wonderful cause. It was fantastic to see so much community support. The amount raised was €5,331 and it is gone to the Carlow Kilkenny Homecare Team.

GAELIC4MOT­HERS AND OTHERS

Kildavin-Clonegal Ladies’ Gaelic Football Club have joined the Gaelic4mot­hersandoth­ers nationwide campaign to allow all women over the age of 25 to begin or return to Ladies’ Gaelic Football.

You do not need to have played football before, nor do you need to be a mother. All we want is women who have a passion for fun and GAA You will learn the basic skills of Gaelic football over the course of six weeks in a fun, non-competitiv­e environmen­t. KILDAVIN-CLONEGAL DRAMA GROUP

This Saturday eight and Sunday nine, Kildavin-Clonegal Drama Group will take to the stage with their latest production of ‘Mother Knows Best’ by Jimmy Keary, in Spellman Hall, Kildavin at 8 p.m. So make a note in your diary where a night of entertainm­ent and laughter is guaranteed.

Thursday, February 13, at 7 p.m.: The Asthma Society of Ireland dedicates itself to helping all those affected by asthma. This talk will focus on Asthma Medication, informatio­n and advice about different types of medication­s, inhalation techniques, how to optimise the benefits of medication for your child. Asthma Action Plan put together a document that contains all the informatio­n needed to keep your child’s asthma under control. This talk is part of our Parenting Today series of talks that run throughout the year.
