Parents of incoming pupils for September 2020 are invited to our Open Night on Wednesday, February 5, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come and meet the staff and view the facilities in our school.

POULPEASTY WOMEN’S GROUP

A ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing Programme’ is starting in Poulpeasty Hall on third of Feburary at 7.30. These ‘Five ways to Wellbeing’ have been used worldwide by both young and old to help people take action to improve their wellbeing.

The five ways to well-being are to connect, be active, Take notice, keep learning, and give. The programme encompasse­s all of these and will be fun and interestin­g to all who attend. Members free, non-members €10 for the programme. New members welcome. Membership is €20.

CAMROSS DRAMA GROUP

Camross Drama Group will present the classic JB Keane play ‘The Year of the Hiker ‘in

Clonroche Hall on Saturday and Sunday, February 8, and nine. The play relates tale of the ‘Hiker Lacey’ who returns home to his family whom he walked out on 20 years. Through reactions to his homecoming by his family, we discover why he left, what kept him away and why he came home.

This truly Keane classic, in the mold of the Field, Sharon’s Grave, Big Maggie and Sieve will be entertainm­ent at its best. Commencing at 8 p.m.,with an Admission of 10.00.

TEMPLEUDIG­AN HANDBALL

Templeudig­an HBC held a very successful Racquetbal­l Singles tournament under the stewardshi­p of our excellent chairman Micheál O’Neill, who ran the competitio­n so efficientl­y. The following were successful.

Division 2 Men’s Winner: Denis Kane and Runner-up Jake Kelly

Division 3 Men’s winner: Michael O’Connor and Runner – up James Byrne

Division 1 ladies winner: Niamh Murphy and Runner-up Anne Boland

Division 2 ladies winner: Mary Ellen Flynn and Runner-up Avril O’Connor
