The hall in Monaseed was beautifully decorated with balloons and bunting. The tables were set with matching blue napkins which had the 50th Anniversary printed on them. There was also a beautiful celebration cake, which was cut by the president of the guild Mrs Olive Doyle and the Federation president Mrs Mary Darcy. who was in attendance for the celebration. The photos were taken of some of the ladies who still attend and have been members since the beginning.

To mark the event. The president then read the minutes of the first meeting 50 years ago. Another surprise was in store, as the members were presented with an Anniversary medal to mark the occasion.

The members enjoyed a wonderful musical night with the Burnell Brothers Paddy, Paul and Greg. The talented trio gave a marvelous performance, which the members enjoyed very much.
