GAA CLUB

Another week ticked off. Hopefully ‘Back to normal’ is not too far into the summer. Congratulations to club chairperson and acting minister, Micheál Darcy, on being elected to the Seanad. Obviously the Easter camps have been cancelled. No decisions on the July Cúl Camp or August club camp yet.

DELIVERY SERVICE/ COLLECTIONS

The GAA club has organised a free delivery service for anyone who is not in a position to collect their own groceries from Murphys Gala in Kilanerin, or a prescription from any pharmacy in Gorey or Arklow. The procedure is simple: Phone Murphys at 0402 37239. Give them your list and arrange your payment. Murphys will then deliver themselves or will get one of the club volunteers to bring your order to your door.

For collections from pharmacies: Please phone your pharmacy. Arrange payment. Tell them that you give permission for a volunteer from Kilanerin-Ballyfad GAA club to collect your prescription. Then phone PJ Gethings at 086 0478656 (and leave a message or text if there is no reply) who will organise a volunteer to collect and deliver to your house. Stay well. This too shall pass.

COVID – 19

As the Coronavirus continues to have a huge impact on community lives at present our collective efforts are critical, information is available at two.hse. ie or healthgov.ie.

It is our own best interest and for those most vulnerable in our community, that we adhere to government and HSE directives at this time. Practising social distancing, hand washing are some of the more practical ways to protect ourselves and the wider community.

Contact tracing is another way to help with this in the days ahead as it may save time and effort of those involved, should the need arise.

We need to applaud the work of all those health workers on the front line – we depend so much on them during this pandemic. Good health and safety to all during these unprecedented times.
