MARY’S ONLINE REQUEST SHOW

Well done to local lady and councillor Mary Farrell, As every evening Mary brings the community together with her online request show.

Mary has been involved in music all of her life, as a solo artist and also as the producer of the Kilmuckridge Panto society for many years.

She now continues to entertain us from the comfort of her spare room.

Since the end of March, Mary has uploaded a mixture of cover songs from the likes of Meatloaf, Dolly Parton, Frank Sinatra and has been asked to do hymns as well as modern songs like Kodaline and the Killers. It all started very small with a request from a friend and it snowballed from there.

Mary’s gets private messages and phone calls every night and day, and plays about four or five songs a night. Mary’s Requests come from all over Wexford, but soon requests came in from the UK, Canada and Australia.

She looks forward to it every evening and she spreads joy to one and all, by uploading her videos every night, to date there have been more than 120 videos and more to come.

Mary plans to keep going with this for the duration of the pandemic, and creates a positive feel good atmosphere by doing so.

Bravo Mary...and we look forward to many more great performances.
